Notional ship’s Integrated Power System in the VTB.
The general structure of the system is developed under US Navy DD(X) program. System includes two Main Turbine Generator sets each rated at 36 MW and two Auxiliary Turbine Generator sets rated at 4 MW supplying the bus with 13.8KV, 3-phase, 60 Hz power. The IPS has two propulsion motors each rated at 36 MW. Each propulsion motor includes two transformers and each transformer can be fed from a separate 13.8 KV source.
